As some of you know, I have cared for men and women over the years within the maternity and fertility setting. From an early time in my journey with Jesus, since 2014, I began to see how many were robbed of joy, peace, and the truth when it comes to fertility, conception, childbirth and parenting.
God’s Word tells us that children are a gift (James 1:17) and heritage from The Lord (Psalm 127:3). It also tells us that the fruit of our womb is blessed (Deuteronomy 28:4)! There is account after account of miraculous pregnancies and barren wombs birthing healthy children. Let us not forget that our precious Jesus was born of a virgin womb! So, no matter what your current status or circumstance, you are in good company and have much to look forward to.
Like any part of our life and walk with God, He wants it to be nothing but good and prosperous. He designed us with a purpose, on purpose!
Within the covenant of marriage, God wills us to be fruitful and multiply. With that in mind as our purpose and goal, we can confidently strive for, and actively pursue a happy, peaceful, healthy, fruitful pregnancy, birth and child/children!
We hear plenty of rubbish and negativity in our daily lives to steer us towards wrong thinking. Therefore it's our responsibility and choice to focus on the good, true, pure, lovely and admirable.
God’s Words is good; It's a lamp to our feet and it equips us for every good work required of us, that includes pregnancy, childbirth and parenting.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by The Word of God so it makes sense for us to crack open our Bibles and fill our heart and minds with the life-giving Truth we need.
I have gathered some of my favourite scriptures that I think are appropriate for fertility, pregnancy and childbirth. Have a read and rest in what our Lord Jesus has promised.
You are loved, never alone, a precious child of God!
Preparation Time - Stand firm
1 John 5:14-15 And this is the confidence that we have before Him: If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we already possess what we have asked of Him
1 Samuel 1:27 I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him
Deuteronomy 28:11 The LORD will grant you abundant prosperity, in the fruit of your womb
Deuteronomy 7:13-14 He will love you and bless you and increase your numbers. He will bless the fruit of your womb

Pregnancy and Labour - Rest in His Goodness
Psalm 121:7-8 The LORD will protect you from all danger; he will keep you safe. He will protect you as you come and go, now and forever

Hebrews 11:1 Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see
